Washington, DC – Women’s Campaign Forum made history today announcing its first Presidential endorsement in organizational history: Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.  Stated WCF President Ilana Goldman, “There are few who have worked so consistently for the public good for so many years, from so many positions, and with such intellectual power.  America could ask for no better candidate than Senator Clinton.”

Senator Clinton has received the endorsement of WCF in her Senate races for her proactive commitment to reproductive justice.  WCF believes her leadership and bipartisan efforts will bring new dimensions to issues ranging from healthcare to economics to judicial appointments.

“It has been eighty-seven years since women obtained the right to vote, and now we have the opportunity to send a strong, accomplished, pro-choice woman to the Oval Office.  This is a proud moment,” states Goldman.  “The candidacy of Hillary Rodham Clinton is the example that empowers us all.  For women in every part of this country – those who have thought of running for School Board, for Town Clerk, for City Council, and for State Legislature, as well as those running for federal office – it shows that there are real possibilities.”

“I am grateful for the outpouring of support I’ve received from The Women’s Campaign Forum and women across the country,” Clinton said. “I will continue to reach out to women and all Americans who are ready for change, and ask them to join me in renewing America’s promise.”
