The Chain Gang made its inaugural appearance in April 2006. According
to The Backbone Campaign website, "We started the Chain Gang project in
order to aid the growing impeachment efforts around the country.
We believe that impeachment is not a political problem as many like to
frame it, but rather a Constitutional obligation. Our Chain Gang
costumes are available for use across the country, to provide a humorous
face to our not-so-funny calls for Bush Administration accountability." |
