(March 2006)  Partner in Murphy Putnam Shorr & Partners, one of the nation’s top Democratic media firms.  Managed the late Missouri Gov. Mel Carnahan's 2000 U.S. Senate campaign in which Carnahan, who died in a plane crash three weeks before the election, defeated the then-incumbent Sen. John Ashcroft.  Chief of Staff to Gov. Mel Carnahan and managed Carnahan’s successful campaign for governor in 1992.  Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois.  Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Northwestern University.

Hayler served as Southeast regional field director on Kerry's Iowa caucus campaign starting March 1, 2003.  Directed the Iowa Coordinated Campaign in the 1st CD in
2002.  Regional organizer for the Alliance for Justice, organizing youth for gun control.  Field organizer for Gore in Washington State.  M.A. in political management and
B.A. in political science from George Washington University.

Note: All America PAC held a number of "Camp Bayh" training sessions and on August 15, 2006 announced it was deploying about 50 activists to work as paid staffers on campaigns in IN, IA, NV, NH and SC.

(from June 21, 2006 "will focus on overall fundraising strategy and building and managing relationships with the donor community" previously had been filling finance director role)  Has worked with Bayh for over a decade.  In 2004 helped co-found Third Way, "a strategy center for progressives."  Founded and served as executive director of Next Generation, a political action committee devoted to supporting moderate Senate candidates.  The third person hired on Bill Clinton’s 1992 Presidential campaign, served as his Inaugural Finance Director, Finance Director of the DNC when President Clinton assumed office in 1993.  B.A. in Political Science from Syracuse University and a Masters in Public Relations from American University.  Married to Mark Penn, who served as pollster and strategic advisor to President Clinton and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
