The full membership of the DNC convened at 1 pm at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, DC.  Outgoing Chairman Gov. Howard Dean was also thanked for his service to the DNC and his visionary 50-state strategy that helped transform the Party to a national entity and was instrumental in President Obama’s victory as well as Democrats up and down the ticket.
