What is your first political memory, something from when you were a wee lad?

General Wesley Clark (ret.): My first political memory is the election of 1952 with kids running around saying "We like Ike."
Democracy in Action:  And were you one of those kids?
General Clark:  I was a third grader and we had moved from Chicago, so my mother told me that we liked Stevenson.
