Co-founder of Democracy for New Hampshire Endorses Hillary Clinton for President

Leader in NH's Progressive Community Cites Leadership, Experience

MANCHESTER, NH- With the DemocracyFest weekend in Bedford kicking off tomorrow, the New Hampshire for Hillary campaign is pleased to announce the endorsement of progressive leader and noted grassroots activist Roger Goun.

“Senator Clinton is clearly the most qualified candidate to lead our country into a much needed period of change," said Goun.  "She has unparalleled experience in both the national and international arenas and her strong leadership skills will enable her to be effective the moment she steps into the Oval Office."

In 2004, Goun, a software engineer by trade, was one of the co-founders of Democracy for New Hampshire (DFNH), a grassroots organization committed to promoting community involvement in the democratic process.  DFNH supports socially progressive, fiscally responsible candidates.  This year, DFNH, along with a host of other progressive political organizations, is sponsoring DemocracyFest, a three-day conference and training experience for activists from across the country. This is the first time the conference is being held in New Hampshire.

Goun’s political involvement was ignited as a volunteer for Governor Howard Dean’s 2004 presidential campaign.  He also worked on Maggie Hassan's successful 2004 and 2006 state senate campaigns.  He is currently running for State Senate in District 17 and serves as the Chair of the Brentwood Democratic Town Committee and Co-Chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party Disability Constituency Caucus.

“Roger is truly a leader in New Hampshire grassroots politics and I am honored to have his support,” said Senator Clinton.  “I look forward to working with him as I continue my conversation with New Hampshire families about what I will do to get this country back on track.”
