State Director Averell "Ace" Smith
(announced March 17, 2008) Previously state director of Clinton's March 4 Texas campaign and Feb. 5 California primary campaign.  President of the political consulting firm SCN Public Relations.  Among his many campaigns, Smith managed the successful efforts of Jerry Brown for California Attorney General in 2006 and Antonio Villaraigosa for Mayor of Los Angeles in 2005.  He has also worked for California Senators Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer and former Governor Gray Davis among many others.  Smith made his reputation as an opposition researcher; in the mid-1990's he headed up The Research Group.  Son of former San Francisco District Attorney Arlo Smith.  Resident of Kentfield.
 
 
Political Director Miguel Espinoza
Deputy political director on Clinton's California campaign, then worked on the campaign in Texas.  Prior to joining the campaign Espinoza was finishing his studies for a dual degree student at the University of Southern California, J.D. and M.P.P..  In 2005 he took a leave of absence from studies to serve as  field coordinator on Villaraigosa for Mayor.  Prior to starting at U.S.C. he worked as a journalist in Washington, DC.

Field director on Clinton's California campaign, then field director on the campaign in Texas.  Described by the Daily News as "one of [Los Angeles Mayor] Villaraigosa's most-trusted political aides."

Communications Director Carly Lindaeur
Deputy press secretary on Clinton's NH primary campaign, then communications director on the campaign in Missouri, Wisconsin and Vermont.  Prior to the campaign Lindaeur worked as a senior associate at Rabinowitz/Dorf Communications.  Public Policy Fellow for the Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA).  B.S. in communications from Boston University's College of Communication, 2004.  Lindauer has also served as a communication intern for the Department of Women in New South Wales, Australia.
