| RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman's speech was similar to the one he delivered
three weeks earlier at the party's winter
meeting. There was a strong praise for Ronald Reagan. On
the war on terror, Mehlman said, "We do not question these Democrat leaders'
patriotism, but we do question their judgment and we do question their
ability to keep the American people safe." Three times during the
speech Mehlman cited the fact that there has been tax relief every year
George W. Bush has been president and, he said, "The results are clear."
Mehlman also included a slap at "the Abramoff Democrats" and a jab at the
"fake but accurate mainstream media. |
