MANCHESTER, NH – State Representative Mary Stuart Gile (Concord) announced today that she is supporting Senator Chris Dodd for the 2008 Democratic Presidential Nomination.  Gile is in her sixth term representing wards 1, 2, and 3 in Concord.

“Chris Dodd has spent his career championing legislation on behalf of American working families and children, the environment, education, health care and has fought to protect American jobs,” said Representative Gile.  “Senator Dodd’s record of over two decades in the U.S. Senate is one of outstanding accomplishment.  His agenda is one of hope and renewal through service to our fellow citizens and to our nation. This vision combined with his effectiveness as a leader gives Senator Dodd the potential to be a great president.”

Mary Stuart Gile is in her sixth term as a State Representative from Concord.  She is the Chair of the Children and Family Law Committee, and the Chair of the New Hampshire Legislative Caucus for Young Children.  Gile also serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Early Childhood Education at New Hampshire Technical Institute.

“Representative Gile is a distinguished member of the State Legislature and a great representative for the people of Concord,” said Dodd New Hampshire Press Secretary Bryan DeAngelis.  “She brings a wealth of knowledge to Senator Dodd’s campaign and will be a tremendous asset to the campaign’s efforts in Concord and across New Hampshire.  Senator Dodd and the entire campaign are excited to have the support of Representative Gile.”

Senator Dodd recently visited Concord on his last trip to New Hampshire.  He spoke to environmental activists about his energy plan at the offices of the New Hampshire Sierra Club.  Dodd also visited Salem, Plymouth, Gorham, Berlin, Conway, and Grantham.
