State Director Beth Leonard
(announced Feb. 13, 2007)  During the 2006 election cycle, Leonard served as the GOTV Director for the DSCC.  Campaign manager for Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino’s re-election campaign.  In 2004, Leonard was a consultant to the recount for Christine Gregoire’s gubernatorial campaign in Washington.  She worked on Sen. John Kerry’s presidential campaign as the field director in Ohio during the general campaign, as the California field and political director during the primaries, and as the Central Iowa field director for Kerry's Iowa caucus campaign starting in March 2003.  During the 2002 elections, Leonard worked on Sen. Mary Landrieu’s run-off election and as a regional field director for the Iowa Democratic Coordinated Campaign.  Grassroots coordinator for 25 states for the American Cancer Society's government relations department.  Worked in the press office for Tipper Gore at the White House.  M.A. in political management from the George Washington University.  B.S. in developmental psychology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
