(announced Sept. 19, 2007)  Elected to the Georgia Senate, representing District 21 (parts of Cherokee and Cobb counties), in 2004; is chair of the Senate Finance Committee and a member of the Committee on Assignments.  Elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2002.  Self-employed in broadcasting and real estate.  Undergraduate degree from Georgia Tech and graduate degree from Georgia State University.  Native of Kennesaw.
