Co-Chair Attorney General Greg Abbott 
(announced Oct. 16, 2007)  Re-elected as the 50th Attorney General of Texas on Nov. 7, 2006.  Previously served as a Justice on the Texas Supreme Court, appointed by then Gov. Bush in 1995 and twice re-elected.  Earlier served as a State District Judge in Harris County (129th District Court) for three years. Graduated from the University of Texas with a B.B.A. in finance;  law degree from Vanderbilt University.  Native Texan.
 
Co-Chair Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson 
(announced Oct. 16, 2007)  Elected the 27th Commissioner of the General Land Office in 2002.  Served six years as state senator for District 11 (Harris, Galveston, Brazoria).  Commissioned in the U.S. Marine Corps, volunteered for duty in Vietnam in 1972 and was later designated as a Naval Flight Officer and served in Marine fighter squadrons until his retirement from the Marine Corps Reserve as a Lt. Colonel in 1993.  Graduated from Texas A&M in 1969.
