RUDY GIULIANI PRESIDENTIAL EXPLORATORY COMMITTEE, INC.  [Filed papers with New York State on Nov. 10, 2006 and with the FEC on Nov. 20, 2006]

On Feb. 15, 2007 the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee announced its Massachusetts Leadership Team, headed by Senior Advisor to the Committee former Gov. Paul Cellucci and five co-chairs.
Co-Chairs
Brian Cresta (Eastern MA Chairman) - Former chair of the Massachusetts Republican State Committee and previously served in the MA House of Representatives.  Cresta also worked as a Regional Administrator for the Department of Health and Human Services.  During his time in the Bush Administration, Cresta was on special assignment with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Sen. Michael R. Knapik - Currently serving his seventh term as State Senator from the Second Hampden and Hampshire District.

Brian Lees (Western MA Chairman) - Ran and was elected Clerk of Courts in Hampden County.  Senate Minority Leader from 1993-2006.

Sen. Bruce Tarr - State Senate Assistant Minority Leader; a member of the Massachusetts General Court since 1991.

Sen. Richard Tisei - Currently serving his ninth term; was elected Senate Minority Leader in January of 2007 and is the longest-serving Republican among current members of the Massachusetts Legislature.

former State Treasurer Joe Malone - (announced Oct. 23, 2007)  Real estate investor and part-time marketing consultant.  Ran in the Republican primary for governor in 1998.  Elected State Treasurer in 1990; re-elected in 1994 with 70% of the vote.  In 1988, Malone challenged Ted Kennedy for his Senate seat.

Jim Rappoport - (announced Nov. 26, 2007)  Attorney and real estate developer.  In 1993, with his brother and father, Jim formed New Boston Fund, Inc. and currently serves as Chairman.  Among his other business ventures, Rappaport was a founder and member of the Board of Directors for Corporate Kids, Inc., a start-up daycare provider, and co-founder of Specialty Hospitals of America, LLC, where he now serves as Chairman.  In 2002, he ran for the Massachusetts Republican nomination for Lt. Governor.  National Finance Chair for Kasich 2000, Congressman John Kasich’s presidential committee.  Chairman of the Massachusetts Republican Party and a member of the Republican National Committee from 1992-97.  In 1991, Rappaport helped organize and became Co-Chairman of LIMITS, a term limit effort.  Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts in 1990, receiving almost one million votes.  In 1985, Rappaport was elected Chairman of the Mass Taxpayers Committee.  Graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and earned his law degree from Boston University School of Law.
