Americans for Prosperity Foundation Event Draws Seven Candidates ...Next >
October 5, 2007--Americans for Prosperity Foundation's "Defending the American Dream Summit" drew seven Republican candidates who took the opportunity to address over a thousand activists from 35 states.  (Sen. John McCain spoke at a cocktail reception on the evening of October 4).  According to its mission statement, "AFPF is a nationwide organization of citizen leaders committed of advancing every individual's right to economic freedom and opportunity."

Tim Phillips is president of Americans for Prosperity and Americans for Prosperity Foundation.
Summit attendee Franky Lee of Hamilton, NC, is a Ron Paul supporter.  (The North Carolina state director passed out the pig hats).
Billionaire David Koch (right) is a major supporter of Americans for Prosperity.  He is co-owner of Koch Industries, the largest privately held company in the United States, and was the Libertarian Party nominee for Vice President in 1980.
