Republican Party of Iowa's Abraham Lincoln Unity Dinner
Candidates Gather in Des Moines to Address Activists-- April 14, 2007
April 14, 2007--The Republican Party of Iowa's Abraham Lincoln Unity Dinner at the Polk County Convention Complex in Des Moines marked the first gathering of almost all of the Republican candidates and drew several thousand activists from around the state.  In addition to the candidates' speeches, the campaigns set up information tables and held dessert receptions after the dinner.  Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-CA) was unable to attend due to transportation problems and Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) chose not to attend.
