FreedomWorks to Greet Sen. Frist in Iowa
Ask him about the Freedom Agenda on Aug. 18th

Apart from cotton candy and bumper cars, this year’s Iowa State Fair (August 10-20th at the Fairgrounds in Des Moines) will feature some very special guests who have their sights set on the White House in 2008.

These politicians know how important Iowa is to their ’08 presidential hopes and that’s why it’s so important that free market conservatives in Iowa like you show up to ask them the tough questions about where they stand on critical issues. They need to know that significant grassroots pressure exists for them to embrace an agenda of lower taxes, less government, and more freedom. This is an opportunity for you to help shape the debate for the 2008 Presidential Race!

On Friday, August 18, Senate Majority Leader and Presidential hopeful, Bill Frist will be making the rounds at the fair and FreedomWorks will be there to meet him. We need to know where Senator Frist stands on critical Freedom Agenda issues and also want to make him aware of an opportunity to pass important pro-growth cable choice legislation that is currently hung up in the Senate. The issue of cable choice and passing legislation that creates competition in the video services (or traditional “cable TV”) market is a campaign that FreedomWorks has been concentrating on for years. It’s a great chance to open up a critical sector of our economy so that consumers can enjoy the benefits of competition – more choices, better service, and lower prices – and for Senator Frist, it’s an opportunity to demonstrate leadership and combat the “do-nothing” image that Congress is getting stuck with…a ! good litmus test for a presidential candidate.

FreedomWorks Midwest Regional Director Cameron Sholty will be at the fair coordinating with those that want to take part and help distribute literature, sign people up to join FreedomWorks, and ask questions of Senator Frist. Contact Cameron at 414-899-9112 or csholty@freedomworks.org for more information and don’t miss this chance to make your voice heard!

Sincerely,
