Chris Dodd visited Iowa on May 17-18, 2007.  On the evening of May 17 he spoke at the Dubuque Democrats Hall of Fame Dinner at Happy's Place in Dubuque.   On May 18 he did a discussion on "How to End the War in Iraq and Strengthen America" at Drake University's Pomerantz Stage in Des Moines.  Later he did "Real Time with Bill Maher" from Des Moines, and he flew out of Des Moines that night.

At noon on May 3 he spoke at a 21st Century Democrats luncheon at Jimmy's American Café in Des Moines; met with the Des Moines Register editorial board; and "got to sample some of the famous Italian food from the 'south side' of Des Moines."
On May 4 he did a Community Kitchen Table at Riverside Family Restaurant in Ottumwa; met with labor leaders in Ottumwa; a Community Kitchen Table at the Hy-Vee lunch counter in Mt. Pleasant; a tour of the Tri-City Energy biodiesel plant with Mayor David Gudgel in Keokuk; an "Innovation and Energy Independence in the 21st Century Town Hall" at the Iowa Hotel's Common Room in Keokuk; and finally a private dinner with activists at Fiddlesticks in Burlington.
On May 5 he did a Community Kitchen Table with Senator Tom Courtney at Laura's Restaurant and Dairy Bar in Burlington; spoke at the Cinco de Mayo celebration Ron-De-Voo Park in West Liberty; did an "Innovation and Energy Independence in the 21st Century Town Hall" at the Hoover House in West Branch; and a Coffee with Chris at Strawberry Farm Bed & Breakfast in Muscatine.

On the evening of April 11 he spoke on "Beyond Iraq and Into an Era of Bold Engagement" at a Forum on International Relations event at The Des Moines Club, Ruan Center in Des Moines.
On April 12 he held a Kitchen Table with Iowans concerned about education at the home of Des Moines School Board Member Dick Murphy in Des Moines; a Kitchen Table with Iowa State University students and administrators at Iowa State University's Memorial Union in Ames; at Iowa State University he toured the Center for Crops Utilization Research, and toured and received an overview of the Plant Science Initiative at the Center for Crops Utilization Research; and he spoke to the Iowa State Education Association Delegate Convention at the Hilton Coliseum in Ames.

On March 31 he attended a Latinos in Action community potluck at City Park - Pavilion 2 in Iowa City; appeared at an off-year caucus luncheon at Old Brick Church in Iowa City; did a kitchen table meeting at the home of Al Hale in Ely (change from the home of Rob and Chanel Meredith in Iowa City); and spoke at the Linn County Democrats' 2007 Hall of Fame banquet at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Cedar Rapids.
On April 1 he attended Palm Sunday Mass with Iowa House Speaker Pat Murphy at Mount St. Francis Chapel in Dubuque; did a kitchen table meeting with Finley Hospital Nurses at the home of Speaker Murphy and and Teri Murphy, RN in Dubuque; had brunch with local activists at the Eagles Club in Dubuque; did a kitchen table meeting at the home of Bob Osterhaus in Maquoketa; did a "Coffee with Chris" at Flap Jack Family Restaurant in Maquoketa; and did a "Coffee with Chris" at the home of state Senator Joe Seng in Davenport.

Chris Dodd visited Iowa on February 19-20, 2007.  On February 19 he did events in Des Moines, starting with lunch at Downtown Fire House Station #1; speaking to the Iowa Democratic legislative caucuses, and then holding a press availability, at the State Capitol; doing coffee with "Women for a Stronger America" at the Village Bean; and a meet and greet with Iowa Machinists and local legislators at Machinists' Hall.  On February 20 he did a "Lunch with Chris" at Capanna Coffee/New York Deli in Iowa City; a tour of Johnson County Neighborhood Centers--Broadway Center in Iowa City; and a meet and greet with Linn County Democrats at The Irish Democrat in Cedar Rapids.

Chris Dodd visited Iowa on October 17-18, 2006.  Starting early afternoon on October 17 he toured and visited the Central Fire Station in Cedar Rapids; delivered a speech on Nuremberg at the University of Iowa College of Law Boyd Law Building Auditorium in Iowa City; attended a fundraiser for Dave Loebsack at a private home in Iowa City; and attended a reception with returned Peace Corps volunteers at Oasis Falafel in Iowa City.  On the morning of October 18 he appeared at a fire fighters rally with congressional candidate Bruce Braley, Tom Powers of the Waterloo Fire Fighters, and State Senator Jeff Danielson at Cedar Falls Fire Station; did private meetings during the day; and in the evening spoke at a fundraiser for congressional candidate Dr. Selden Spencer at the home of Gregg Gustafson and Peg Armstrong-Gustafson, with special guest Sen. Tom Harkin in Waukee.

Chris Dodd visited Iowa on September 9-10, 2006 On September 9 he campaigned with Chet Culver at an Iowa firefighters and first responders roundtable at Des Moines Fire Dept 8 on McKinley Ave; appeared at an event for State Reps. Lisa Heddens and Beth Wessel-Kroeschell at a private home in Ames; appeared at a post-canvass volunteer rally with State Senate candidate Rich Olive and State Rep. candidate Susan Radke at Kiwanis Park in Nevada; appeared at a campaign event for State Rep. Mark Smith at Marshalltown Democratic headquarters on West Main Street; and made remarks at Johnson County Democrats' annual barbeque at the North Liberty Community Center (Gerdin Conference Center) in North Liberty.  On September 10 he held a roundtable discussion with education leaders at Drake's Diner in Des Moines; and appeared at a campaign event for Congressman Boswell at a private home in Des Moines.
