Sen. Russ Feingold announced on November 12, 2006 that he would not pursue a presidential bid.

>Sen. Russ Feingold visited Iowa on August 30-31, 2006.  On the evening of August 30 he attended an event with Working Families Win and congressional candidate Bruce Braley in Waterloo.  Early afternoon on August 31 he visited with students and spoke at M-Shop in the Memorial Union at Iowa State University in Ames; and in the evening attended a Quirmbach for Senate campaign kickoff fundraiser at The Basil in Ames.

>Sen. Russ Feingold visited Iowa on July 15-16, 2006.  On July 15 in Dubuque he met with Democratic activists at Mario’s Italian Restaurant on Main Street; stopped by a meeting with local labor leaders at the Dubuque Labor Temple; held a listening session at the Dubuque County Democratic Party headquarters on Central Avenue, and attended a fundraiser for the Iowa State House Caucus at the home of Democratic Leader Pat Murphy.  On July 16 he met with Democratic activists at the Main Street Café in Maquoketa; at the home of Carol and Cami Maguire in Clinton; and at the Radisson in Davenport.

>Sen. Russ Feingold visited Iowa on April 28-29, 2006.  Starting on the afternoon of April 28 he delivered a speech, sponsored by University Democrats, at the University of Iowa in Iowa City; and spoke at a fundraiser for 2nd CD congressional candidate Dave Loebsack at The Science Station in Cedar Rapids.  On April 29 he stopped by Congressman Leonard Boswell's pancake breakfast fundraiser at Johnston High; stopped in at the 5th CD convention at Clarke Community High School in Osceola; went back to Johnston for the 3rd CD convention at Johnston High School; stopped at the 4th CD convention at the Best Western Starlite Village Inn in Fort Dodge; and attended a fundraiser for 4th CD congressional candidate Selden Spence at the Best Western Starlite Village Inn in Fort Dodge.
