>Sen. Bill Frist visited Iowa on September 22-23, 2006 On September 22 he keynoted the Iowa Restoration Project Pastors Conference at the Downtown Marriott Hotel in Des Moines; and spoke at an Iowa State University College Republican banquet at the Gateway Center in Ames.  On the morning of September 23 he participated in a Republican Party of Iowa skeet shoot in Van Meter; and late in the afternoon he was one of the special guests at the Polk County Republicans' GOP Fest at the Blank Park ZooPlex in Des Moines.

>Sen. Bill Frist visited Iowa on August 31, 2006 He attended a breakfast in support of State Rep. Chuck Soderberg at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars; a luncheon in support of State Representative candidates Nick Wagner and Don Palmer at the Elmcrest Country Club in Cedar Rapids; Congressman Jim Leach's field hearing on the Internet Gambling Prohibition Act in the Clark Alumni House at Coe College in Cedar Rapids; and a reception in support of County Attorney candidate Werner Hellmer at the home of Grady and Coletta Ivy in Dubuque.

Bill Frist visited Des Moines, Iowa on August 18, 2006.  He spoke at breakfast in support of State Senate candidate Larry Noble in Johnston; participated in a health policy roundtable for congressional candidate Jeff Lamberti at the Iowa Medical Society in Des Moines; and visited the State Fair, including a WHO radio interview, a stop at the Iowa Health Systems booth, and a tour of the fair grounds.

Bill Frist visited Iowa on July 29-30, 2006.  On July 29 he ran in and finished the annual Bix 7 race in downtown Davenport; attended a lawn party in support of State House candidate Roby Smith at 220 Bechtel Rd. in Bettendorf; did a Health Policy Roundtable Mike Whalen for Congress at Thunder Bay Grille in Davenport; attended a reception in support of Representative Linda Upmeyer at 101 5th Ave North in Clear Lake; and attended a reception in support of Jim Nussle for Governor at 1522 Country Club Drive in Spencer.  At midday on July 30 he attended a reception in support of State House candidate Matt Reisetter at 2110 Franklin Street (Reisetter's boyhood home) in Cedar Falls.

>Sen. Bill Frist visited Des Moines, Iowa on April 23-24, 2006.  On the afternoon of April 23 he met with Iowa House Speaker Christopher Rants.  On April 24 he met with business and party leaders and then was the featured speaker at Iowa Health Systems spring forum at the Polk County Convention Complex; met with students at Des Moines University; and addressed the House Republican Caucus at the Capitol.

Bill Frist did a physicians roundtable and then was the special guest at the Republican Party of Iowa's 5th Annual Ronald Reagan Dinner at the Embassy Suites in Des Moines, Iowa on October 22, 2005.  Before leaving on the morning of October 23, he went for a run along the Des Moines River with Doug Gross.
