>Sen. Chuck Hagel visited Dubuque, Iowa on May 29, 2006.  He deliverd the keynote address at the Annual Linwood Cemetery's Memorial Day Services; and made informal remarks and mixed and mingled at a BBQ picnic hosted by Susan Farber at the Red House (he has known Farber since his USO days).

>After flying in from Nebraska, Sen. Chuck Hagel delivered the Manatt-Phelps Lecture in Political Science at Iowa State University's Memorial Union in Ames, Iowa on October 30, 2005.  He spoke on "A View from the Senate: Foreign Policy" and took questions.  After the speech, Hagel overnighted in Ames, but he left the next morning for Chicago without any further events.
