>Sen. John Kerry had been scheduled to appear with congressional candidate Bruce Braley on November 2, 2006 but Braley canceled the event following the flap over Kerry's remarks on October 30.

>Sen. John Kerry did a couple of campaign events in Iowa on October 17, 2006. He attended a lunch fundraiser for Chet Culver at Vito's Restaurant in Iowa City; and attended a fundraiser for Linda Langston at Linn County Democratic headquarters on Second Ave., SE in Cedar Rapids.

>Sen. John Kerry, joined by Teresa Heinz Kerry and many Democratic candidates, participated in a five county Democrats rally at Wild Rose Casino Convention Center in Emmetsburg, Iowa late afternoon/early evening on October 8, 2006.

>Sen. John Kerry visited Iowa on October 2, 2006.  At Iowa State University he held a press conference with Secretary of State Mike Mauro in the Memorial Union and then made remarks at the kick-off opening ceremony for Political Action Week at Central Campus; with Teresa Heinz Kerry he appeared at a women's event and low-dollar fundraiser for District 35 State Senate candidate Merle Johnson at the home of Rudy and Veronica Simms in Johnston.

John Kerry visited Iowa on September 15-16, 2006.  On the evening of September 15 he joined Senate candidate Staci Appel (SD 37) for a reception at Summerset Winery in Indianola.  On September 16, he attended a tailgate party for congressional candidate Dave Loebsack before the Iowa-Iowa State game at the home of Doug and May Moore in Iowa City; watched the game at a "Pigskin and Politics" fundraising party at the home of Sen. Jeff Danielson in Waterloo; and attended a "Workers for a Better Iowa" low dollar fundraiser with Chet Culver, John Culver and Dave Loebsack hosted by the Hawkeye Labor Council at Hawkeye Downs Expo Hall in Cedar Rapids.

>Sen. John Kerry visited Iowa on July 28-29, 2006.  On the morning of July 28 he participated in  “Winning the Race Against Cancer,” a field hearing on cancer research, with Sen. Harkin and Lance Armstrong at University of Iowa in Iowa City; and rode the leg of RAGBRAI that ended in Coralville.  On July 29 he attended a breakfast event with Rich Olive, candidate for Iowa Senate District 5, at the home of Mike and Mary Ness in Story City; attended a “Summertime Celebration” with Pete McRoberts, candidate for Iowa House  District 23, at Independence Middle School Commons in Independence; and was the special guest at the Linn County Democrats "Good Old-Fashioned Democratic Family Picnic" at Ushers Ferry Historic Village in Cedar Rapids.

John Kerry visited Iowa on October 9, 2005.  Arriving in Des Moines on the evening of October 8, he met privately with supporters.  On October 9 he spoke at a Women for a Stronger America (successor to "Women for Kerry") and Democratic Activist Women Network (DAWN) fundraising event at A'Dong Restaurant in Des Moines; attended a meet and greet with Justin Shields, a candidate for the Cedar Rapids City Council, at Veterans Memorial Stadium's Picnic Pavilion in Cedar Rapids; and held a grass-roots meeting with Johnson County Democrats and other progressive groups at Elizabeth Tate High School in Iowa City.
