Bill Richardson visited Iowa on April 19-20, 2007.  On the evening of April 19 he spoke at the 5th District Congressional Committee's Give 'Em Hell Harry Dinner at Boulders Conference Center in Denison.  On April 20 he delivered an address on foreign policy at Central College's Cox-Snow Recital Hall in Pella; hosted a meet and greet at the Witwer Senior Center in Cedar Rapids; delivered an address on Darfur and international peace missions at the University of Northern Iowa's Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center in Cedar Falls; spoke at the Polk County Democrats' 2007 Spring Fundraiser with Congressman Leonard Boswell in Walnut Center at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines; and visited Principal Park in Des Moines to watch the Albuquerque Isotopes play the Iowa Cubs, including visits to the radio broadcast booths of both teams.

>Gov. Bill Richardson visited Iowa on March 2-3, 2007.  (Richardson had planned to fly into Des Moines on the evening of March 1, but bad weather pushed that back to the morning of March 2).  On March 2 he taped an Iowa Press interview at Iowa Public Television in Johnston, followed by a press availability; spoke at a Polk County Democrats luncheon at Latin King Restaurant in Des Moines; did a meet and greet with Young Democrats at Cool Beans Student Lounge, Drake University in Des Moines; have coffee with Richardson Meet Up supporters and Iowa bloggers at The Breakroom Cyber Café in Des Moines; and did a house party with Rep. Mark Davitt in Indianola.  On March 3 he didd breakfast with Women for a Stronger America at A Dong Restaurant in Des Moines; breakfast with union leaders at Hotel Ft. Des Moines in Des Moines; a meet and greet with Marshalltown Democrats at the Democratic Party office in Marshalltown; a late afternoon house party at Amy Welch and Charlie Bruner’s home in Ames; and a house party at the home of Julie Allen in Boone.
 

2006 (1 visit: 1 day)
>Gov. Bill Richardson, in his role as chairman of the Democratic Governors Association, visited Iowa on August 17, 2006 to campaign for Chet Culver (during the trip he also announced the DGA would contribute an additional $500,000 Culver's campaign).  Richardson and Culver led a rally with Hispanic leaders at American Legion Hispanic Post 731 in Des Moines; they then went to the Iowa State Fair, where they met and shook hands with hundreds of Fair visitors; and finally in the afternoon, Richardson delivered an address at the Wake Up Wal-Mart Town Hall meeting at Sullivan Brothers Convention Center in Waterloo.
 

2005 (1 visit: 1 day)
The National Governors Association held its 97th Annual Meeting at the Polk County Convention Complex in Des Moines, Iowa on July 16-18, 2005, with related events on July 15.  More than 30 governors attended at least part of the conference including Gov. Bill Richardson.  On the evening of July 18 Gov. Richardson spoke at a fundraiser for the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association.
