| August 17, 2006--Gov. Bill Richardson (D-NM) and Democratic gubernatorial nominee Chet Culver held a rally with Hispanic leaders at American Legion Hispanic Post 731 in Des Moines before heading to the State Fair. Richardson is chairman of the Democratic Governors Association and during this trip he announced that the DGA would contribute an additional $500,000 to Culver's campaign. | |||
