October 28, 2005-- Gov. George E. Pataki (R-NY) wrapped
up a trip to Iowa with a tour of Vermeer Manufacturing Company in
Pella, Iowa. The company, founded and headquartered in Pella, manufactures
agricultural and industrial equipment and has 1,940 employees. The
Vermeer Charitable Foundation matched dollar-for-dollar Vermeer employees'
contributions to the American Red Cross for victims of 9/11.
