August 31, 2006--On his fifth trip to Iowa since the 2004 campaign
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN) started out in western Iowa attending
a breakfast in support of State Rep. Chuck Soderberg at Floyd Valley Hospital
in Le Mars. From there he proceeded to Cedar Rapids fora luncheon
in support of State Representative candidates Nick Wagner and Don Palmer
(no photo). He next participated in Congressman Jim Leach's field
hearing on the Internet Gambling Prohibition Act in the Clark Alumni House
at Coe College in Cedar Rapids. Jack Kilcoyne, retired broadcaster
and radio host, interviewed Sen. Frist for the Iowa Republican On-Line
Campaign Kickoff. Sen. Frist concluded the trip at a reception in
support of County Attorney candidate Werner Hellmer at the home of Grady
and Coletta Ivy in Dubuque. |
