March 11, 2006--Iowa Democratic Party Chair Sally Pederson is a member of the Democratic National Committee's Rules and Bylaws Committee. She attended the Washington, DC meeting at which the Rules and Bylaws Committee started to consider the Report and Recommendations of the Commission on Presidential Nomination Timing and Schedule. (more) Pederson, who is also Iowa's Lieutenant Governor, was elected Chair on Dec. 18, 2004 and has said she will only serve one two-year term in the position.
