Alabama for McCain
"This blog will follow the P2008 race and in particular how it pertains the people of Alabama.

"We [clearly] favor Sen. John McCain getting the GOP nomination in 2008 because we believe he’s the best choice for Alabama and for America.

"Additionally, we’ll mix in a little commentary here and there about what’s going on in the always interesting world of Alabama politics."

About the Site:

Straight Talk Iowa Style
"Straight Talk Iowa Style is 'the place' on the web where Senator John McCain supporters, Iowans in particular, can gather to network, debate and discuss how we can help him become the next President of the United States. And it all starts right here in Iowa! Straight Talk Iowa Style intends to be there every step of the way."

Inaugural posting July 29, 2006:

Straight Talk Iowa Style is excited about entering the blogosphere and bringing John McCain supporters from across Iowa together.  Let's get started!
STIS has been deep in the bean fields for the past few days and so the inaugural posting here will be light.  Utah Governor John Huntsman has endorsed Senator McCain.
Chris Cillizza reports in the Washington Post that:
Huntsman has agreed to serve as a co-chairman of McCain's Straight Talk America political action committee.  He will help coordinate politics and policy for McCain in Western states. "John McCain's understanding of America's role in the world is unparalleled," said Mike Mower, a spokesman for Huntsman.  "His knowledge of the West, leadership and independence are indispensable to our nation's well-being."

Michigan for McCain
"This blog was created to track Senator McCain's efforts in Michigan as well as facilitate discussion about his potential candidacy for the Presidential nomination in 2008. Disclaimer: We are proud to support Senator John McCain and Straight Talk America.  We run this site on our own and are not paid by Straight Talk America or any of its consultants."

First posting Aug. 30, 2006.

Dan Carlson, of Farmington Hills, majored in History and Classics at Kalamazoo College; while there he started a College Republican organization and made it one of the most active clubs in the state.  He is currently attending Ave Maria Law School in Ann Arbor.  Elected Chairman of the Michigan Federation of College Republicans in Feb. 2006.

CJ Szafir, of East Lansing, interned in Sen. McCain's office in Fall 2005.

NH for McCain
"A New Hampshire blog focused on John McCain and the 2008 Presidential race."

by S.F. Martin
"I’m a New Hampshire resident and a management consultant and financial executive who loves politics.  I’m a big John McCain supporter as I believe he can successfully pull this country together.  I first heard John McCain talk during the 2000 campaign at a New Hampshire event.  He is a conservative!  His integrity, honesty, and willingness to listen, coupled with his experience and realistic approach to problem solving sold me on supporting him in 2000. I think he is the best candidate for President in 2008."

In his first posting on Sept. 5, 2006 Martin wrote:
"This blog will focus on the race and key issues that lead up to the 2008 Presidential election.  My goal is to provide a central information source to all New Hampshire residents who are interested in a focal point to catch up on news surrounding the race and key issues, particularly ones of interest to NH.  While concentrating on John McCain, I’ll also take the opportunity to pass along other interesting bits of information that might be helpful in getting a picture of all the candidates and the key issues".

Stop John McCain
"Smashing the Maverick Myth"
"Senator John McCain is a master at managing public relations.  While his voting record is extremely conservative, many Americans think of him as a moderate maverick. With McCain preparing to run for President in 2008, progressives need to spread the word that McCain is dangerously conservative and would be more of the same in the White House."  (Jan. 9, 2006)
