ARLINGTON, VA -- U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced that former Lieutenant Governor Jane Norton and Ms. Marti Allbright have endorsed John McCain for President of the United States. Lt. Gov. Norton will serve as Colorado chair and Ms. Allbright will serve as vice chair.

"John McCain's experience and his lifetime of service make him the most qualified candidate for the presidency," said Lt. Gov. Norton. "John McCain is a man with the courage to stand up and fight for change. We need a leader who will work to regain voters' trust in government and more importantly, we need a Republican candidate who can beat the Democratic nominee. I am confident that John McCain is that candidate and I am proud to work on his behalf in the state of Colorado."

John McCain thanked Lt. Gov. Norton and Ms. Allbright, saying, "I am grateful to have the support of both Jane and Marti. They will play an integral role in expanding our grassroots organization in Colorado. While serving as lieutenant governor Jane was a leader in working to reform education and the state's health care system, and Marti's conservation efforts and volunteerism within her community are invaluable. I look forward to their counsel and leadership on my behalf in the state of Colorado."

Jane Norton served as Colorado's Lieutenant Governor until January 2007 and is presently Executive Director of the Denver Police Foundation.

Marti Allbright has served as Colorado Chief Deputy Attorney General; General Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Transportation and Science; Executive Director of Take Pride in America; and Special Assistant to the U.S. Secretary of the Interior. She is currently an attorney at Patton Boggs.

Lt. Governor Norton's husband, Michael Norton, will also work to strengthen John McCain's grassroots network in Colorado. Mr. Norton is a former United States Attorney for the District of Colorado, first appointed to this office by President Ronald Reagan. He chaired Lawyers for Bush-Cheney in Colorado in 2000 and 2004. He is currently a senior member of the law firm of Burns, Figa & Will.
