State director on McCain's NH primary campaign (succeeded Jim Martin, the McCain's first NH campaign manager, after he was dismissed on May 11, 2007.  Barnett earlier served as the campaign's New England regional director, first reported by The Associated Press on Nov. 16, 2006)  Chairman of the Vermont Republican Party, elected May 2003, served through late Nov. 2006.  Deputy campaign manager on Jim Douglas' successful 2002 campaign for governor of Vermont, then worked on Gov. Douglas' senior staff.  Deputy Associate Director in the Presidential Personnel Office.  Worked at the RNC during the 1998 and 2000 cycles.

(March 2007)  Opened his own law firm in Barrington in 2006; previously was an attorney at the firm Adler, Pollock & Sheehan in Providence.  Has served as Legal Counsel for the RIGOP; led all legal operations during the 2006 elections.  Ran as the endorsed candidate in 1996 against Congressman Patrick Kennedy in the 1st CD.  B.A. from George Mason University, and J.D. from Boston University School of Law.  Lives in Barrington.

Served as an assistant in the Providence office of then Sen. Lincoln Chafee from 2005-Jan. 2007.  Born in Providence of Colombian descent.
