Notes:
1. Sen. Biden's Unite Our States PAC filed statement of organization on June 29, 2005.  Gov. Vilsack's Heartland PAC is for the period starting April 29, 2005.

2. Gov. Warner's Forward Together PAC, Gov. Huckabee's Healthy America PAC, and Sen. McCain's Straight Talk America formed in July 2005 and are therefore not included above.

3. Commonwealth PAC (federal) showed receipts of $9,220.00, disbursements of $6,720.06, and cash on hand of $8,066.36.  State PACs in Iowa, South Carolina, Arizona and Michigan.

4. Vilsack's PAC, a Section 527, amassed $635,000 in about two months from just 15 contributors including:  $100,000 - SEIU, AFSCME, Mid American Energy Holdings Co..  $50,000 - Iowans for Vilsack Pederson, William Knapp (developer, W.Des Moines), Fred Eychaner (CEO, Newsweb, Inc), NEA.  $25,000 - Debra A. Cafaro (CEO, Ventas, Inc.), IAFF, IUPAT, McAninch Corporation.

5. Total PAC contributions to (line 11c): Republicans' PACs - Brownback $29,750.00 from 11 PACs (42.5%); Frist $398,500.00 from 97 PACs ranging from A to Z (20.8%); Giuliani $22,500.00 (7.7%); Hagel $124,664.00 (32.0%); Pataki $250; Tancredo -0-.  Democrats' PACs - Bayh $57,500.00 from 22 PACS (4.9%); Biden $5,000 from 1; Clark -0-; Clinton $72,600.00 (10.1%); Edwards -0-; Feingold $5,000 from 1; Kerry$25,500 from 7 PACs (3.4%).

6. Seeking re-election in 2006 and therefore doing significant fundraising for their campaigns are Sen. Clinton, whose campaign committee, Friends of Hillary, had raised $21.1 million and had $12.6 million cash on hand as of June 30, and Sen. Allen, whose campaign committee, Friends of George Allen, had $5.0 million in cash on hand as of June 30.  Gov. Romney had yet to make an announcement about whether or not he would seek re-election.
