| February 27, 2006--The Health and Human Services Committee, chaired
by Gov. Haley Barbour (R-MS) and Gov. Jon Corzine (D-NJ), focused on "Opportunites
for States in New Federal Medicaid Reforms." They heard from Centers
for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Mark B. McClellan, Scott
H. Beeken of the American Financial Group, Inc., consultant Chris Jennings,
and Kentucky Cabinet of Health and Family Services Secretary Mark Birdwhistell.
