June 5, 2007--As at the Democratic debate on Sunday, the demonstration
area was a penned-in part of a parking lot near Sullivan Arena. (Above)
Shelby, age 3, waterphilic daughter of Nate and Christ LaHue of Concord
(on the fence) and Joey, age 8, son of Herb and Cindy Doty of Amherst (to
the right), were most interested in the large puddle in the demonstration
area. The LaHues described themselves as independents and said they
were most concerned that "the Constitution keeps getting eaten up."
The Dotys held Huckabee signs. They had been considering Huckabee
and Brownback; Huckabee won them over when he came to their church, the
Household of Faith, on June 3 and gave a sermon.
