In NH on January 5-6, 2008, former Sen. Fred Thompson participated in the ABC News, WMUR-TV and Facebook Republican debate at Saint Anselm College in Manchester on January 5; and the FOX News debate also at Saint Anselm College in Manchester on January 6.

2007
>Former Sen. Fred Thompson visited NH on November 24, 2007.  He visited Skip's Gun & Sport Shop in Bristol; and held a Meet Fred Thompson at VFW Post 1670 in
Laconia.

>Former Sen. Fred Thompson visited NH on November 5, 2007.  He spoke at the Politics and Eggs breakfast at the Bedford Village Inn in Bedford; did a "Tea with the Candidate" interview with Jennifer Horn at her home in Nashua; toured Thompson Center Arms in Rochester; did an ed board with the Foster's Daily Democrat; and held a Meet Fred Thompson at the Orchard Street Chop House in Dover.

>Former Sen. Fred Thompson visited NH on October 29, 2007.  With his wife Jeri he visited Delta Dental in Concord; filed his candidacy papers at the Secretary of State's office in the State House in Concord; and appeared at the grand opening of his headquarters at 23 West Webster Street in Manchester.

>Former Sen. Fred Thompson visited NH on September 8-9, 2007 as part of his announcement tour.  Arriving from Iowa on the evening of September 8 after a fierce storm, he spoke at the Seacoast Republican Women chili fest at the farm of former House Speaker Doug Scamman in Stratham.  On September 9 with Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta he visited several restaurants and sports bars in Manchester, including Jillian's and P.J. O'Sullivan's Restaurant and Bar; and spoke at a rally outside City Hall in Nashua.

[Note: Thompson started off badly in NH when he eschewed the September 5, 2007 "First in The Fall Presidential Debate" at UNH in Durham in favor of an appearance on the "Tonight Show" with Jay Leno].

>Former Sen. Fred Thompson with his wife Jeri made his first visit to NH as a potential candidate on June 28, 2007.  He made a stop at Riley's Sport Shop in Hooksett ("the largest and most complete full-line firearms dealer in New Hampshire"); had lunch at the Merrimack Restaurant; spent some time at the New Hampshire Union Leader offices; and spoke at a fundraiser for the Senate Republican PAC at the Wayfarer Inn in Bedford.
