January 27, 2006--Gov. Mitt Romney spoke at an Issues & Answers Series on Education Reform, co-hosted by the NHGOP, Amherst GOP and Milford GOP Committees at Souhegan Boys & Girls Club in Milford.  Approximately 100 people attended the event.  Romney spoke about the education reforms he has achieved in Massachusetts, working with Democrats and Republicans, as well as some proposals he still wishes to see implemented.  He particularly noted the Adams Scholarship program which awards students scoring in the top 25 percent on the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) test with free tuition to Massachusetts public colleges.  Romney took questions and mingled with the crowd afterwards.  In the photo above Romney is with former House Speaker Donna Sytek (in pink) and  Juanita Dangel.  Sytek served 23 years as a state representative from Salem before retiring in 2000.  Dangel is a newer Republican activist, having moved to New Hampshire from Texas, where she worked as a piano teacher for over 25 years.
