Chicago, IL – Today, Florida superdelegate and State Party Secretary Janee Murphy endorsed Barack Obama. Murphy is also a DNC member.

Senator Obama is 42.5 delegates away from securing the Democratic nomination.

“Today I am officially a Florida delegate and I think it is essential now to unite behind Senator Obama to defeat Senator McCain in the fall. I am ready now to pick up the tools that we have been given by coming together and moving forward to secure Florida for the Democrats. With Florida and Michigan a part of the equation that there is no doubt in my mind that we can come together and it is my job now to hit the ground running and help deliver Florida.
