Ray Rivera
State director on Obama's Feb. 5 Colorado caucuses campaign (reported by the Rocky Mountain News on Sept. 7, 2007), and earlier served as the campaign's Northeast regional field director in Chicago.  In 2006 he was executive director of Colorado Senate Majority, a 527 organization that worked to build Democrats' majority in the state Senate.  Worked several years for AFSCME, starting as an organizer, then Nevada political director and finally Colorado political director.  Field director on state Sen. Richard Romero's 2002 congressional campaign against Rep. Heather Wilson in NM's 1st CD.  Youth coordinator on the Gore-Lieberman campaign in New Mexico in Fall of 2000.  Bachelor's degree in political science from the University of New Mexico, 2001.  From New Mexico.

Political Director Paul Schnaitter
(announced July 8, 2008)  Deputy finance director at the Democratic Governors Association through June 2008.  A regional finance director on Bill Richardson's presidential campaign, April 2007-Jan. 2008.  Campaign manager for Angie Paccione in Colorado's CD 4 in 2006.  Executive director of the Colorado Democratic State House Caucus in 2005.  Also stints as finance director on Heath Shuler for Congress in 2006 and Ed Perlmutter for Congress in 2007.  Graduate of Colorado State University, 2004.

Communications Director Stephanie Mueller
(announced July 8, 2008)  Mueller comes to the Obama campaign from the Service Employees International Union, where she headed political communications for the organization since the 2006 election.  In 2004, she directed communications for SEIU's Americans for Health Care campaign. She managed a congressional campaign in Kansas in 2002, and prior to that spent six years managing communications for the National Abortion Federation.

General Election Director Anne Filipic
(announced July 8, 2008)  Filipic has been with Obama's campaign since early 2007.  She was the Iowa field director for his caucus victory, Utah state director for the February 5 primary, and then on the national field desk in his Chicago headquarters, helping oversee eight additional primary contests.  Came to the campaign from Hildebrand Tewes Consulting, Inc.  Has worked on Tom Daschle for South Dakota and Americans United to Protect Social Security.


Field Director Kevin Puleo
(announced July 8, 2008)  Started on the campaign as a regional field director in Charleston, SC, then served as a regional field director in Birmingham, AL and in Dallas, TX.  Background in urban affairs and community development.

Deputy Field Director Gillian Bergeron
Started on the campaign as the Lowcountry regional volunteer coordinator on the South Carolina primary campaign, then continued on to Alabama, Texas and Pennsylvania (northeast, Scranton area).  Graduate of the University of South Carolina, 2006.  Native of Hilton Head Island.

(announced July 8, 2008)  Blanco joins the campaign through the DNC where she served as the Southwest & Pacific political director for the last three years.  In 2003, she returned to Washington, DC to be the deputy national field director for the DCCC.  Previously, she worked for the Texas Democratic Party and the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials, (NALEO) as assistant director of constituency services and policy analyst.

(announced July 8, 2008)  Most recently Silvern was the field director for the Obama campaign in Puerto Rico.  Previously, she was the outreach director for Udall for Colorado.  Worked on the Colorado Coordinated Campaign as the GOTV Director in 2006 and as an organizer in 2004.  Prior to her work on campaigns, she taught in Denver public schools and was a Teach For America corps member in Washington, DCShe has also worked as a community organizer with the Industrial Areas Foundation in Los Angeles.  Colorado native.
