Obama General Election Campaign Organization, Georgia
revised April 14, 2009  disclaimer

In the first part of September the campaign pulled significant resources out of Georgia, but that was not the end of the campaign in the state.

"The Obama campaign was a huge boost here; having more field staff organizing and registering voters was a definite plus.  Of course, when OfA pulled staff out of Georgia, that was problematic, but what I believe a lot of people miss is that when that happened, we had literally thousands of trained volunteers to make up the staff difference without missing a beat.  In the end, this was the largest, most complex, and most effective field effort ever seen in Georgia...  When you compare the Obama/McCain spread versus the numbers from four years ago, you can see how far we've come."
