SEN. BAYH BRINGS ULTRA-LIBERAL VIEWS TO IOWA

DES MOINES – Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN) is in Iowa today to help Democrats raise money, but would Iowa Democrats still want him here if they knew how out of touch he was with mainstream views?

“Iowans know that Evan Bayh doesn’t share their views,” said Republican Party of Iowa Executive Director Cullen Sheehan.  “In addition to being declared one of the most liberal members of the Senate, he voted against BOTH of President Bush’s Supreme Court Nominees and has continually voted for tax increases.  As Iowans begin to look at possible Presidential candidates, they will look elsewhere when they find out Sen. Bayh doesn’t share their values.”
