Chairman Gov. Joe Manchin III (WV)
Elected Governor of West Virginia in the 2004.  Secretary of State from 2000-04.  Sought the Democratic gubernatorial nomination in 1996.  Served in the state legislature from 1982 to 1996.  Owner of Enersystems Inc., a natural resources company.  Ran Manchin’s Carpet Center, a family-owned retail business.  B.S. in business administration from West Virginia University, 1970.  Grew up in Farmington, WV.
 
 
Executive Director Nathan Daschle
Daschle started at the DGA as counsel and director of policy (announced July 6, 2005).  Previously at the law firm of Covington & Burling.  Has worked at AFSCME and the Natural Resources Defense Council.  Graduate of Harvard Law School.

POLITICAL
Director of Campaigns & Elections Pam Womack
Second stint as director of campaigns and elections at the DGA.  Womack came to the DGA after serving as political director at the DNC (officially appointed in June 2005, but started working at the DNC on the state partnership project in March 2005).  Prior to the DNC she was the director of campaigns and elections at the DGA, where she worked for six years.  Secretary of State in Virginia under Gov. Doug Wilder.  Executive director of the Democratic Party of Virginia.
 
Deputy Political Director Brinkley Serkedakis
Experience includes policy assistant at the Children's Defense Fund.  Graduate of the University of Alabama.
 
Deputy Political Director Ray Glendening
Deputy field director on Gov. Bill Richardson's presidential campaign.  Previously a political action representative at AFSCME.
 
 

POLICY/COMMUNICATIONS
Director of Policy and Communications Mona Mohib
Joined Peyser Associates in February 2001.  Leave of absence to serve as political director to Leadership ’02, Al Gore's political action committee, in 2002.  Mohib served as Associate Director at the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs at the White House and Director of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs at the Department of Labor during the Clinton Administration.
 
 
Press Secretary Brian Namey
Namey started at the DGA in Nov. 2004 as Manager of Special Projects.  Graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in international relations and ethics, history and public policy; served as student body president.  From New Kensington, PA.
 
 

FINANCE
National Finance Director Colleen Turrentine
Most recently national finance director on Gov. Bill Richardson’s presidential campaign. She also served as the National Finance Director at the Democratic Leadership Council.  Worked finance on Joe Lieberman's presidential campaign but left in Oct. 2003.  Graduate of St. Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana.
