Beltway Happenings
Nov. 6, 2005--Former Speaker Newt Gingrich walks down DeSales Street after appearance on ABC News' "This Week."  Speaking to reporters after the appearance, Gingrich said that President Bush needs to make "substantial change by the State of the Union."  He also said that many conservatives have great concerns about fiscal responsibility.  Alluding to spending on such projects as the now infamous "Bridge to Nowhere," Gingrich said the view is, "Why would I vote for a majority that spends that kind of money?"
