Nov. 6, 2005--Former Speaker Newt Gingrich walks down DeSales Street
after appearance on ABC News' "This Week." Speaking to reporters
after the appearance, Gingrich said that President Bush needs to make "substantial
change by the State of the Union." He also said that many conservatives
have great concerns about fiscal responsibility. Alluding to spending
on such projects as the now infamous "Bridge to Nowhere," Gingrich said
the view is, "Why would I vote for a majority that spends that kind of
money?" |
