Nov. 7, 2005--After the rally Gov. Warner talked with supporters and
answered a few questions from reporters. Asked about Warner as a
possible presidential candidate in 2008 Boyd Walker, a real estate investor
from Alexandria, noted that Warner had started out with a huge deficit
he inherited from Gov. Jim Gilmore (R). "He's turned the state around,"
Walker stated. "He would excite the middle and bring the country
together," Walker said. Doug Duffield, retired of Alexandria, said
that Warner "works very will with both parties." Virginia's much
better off that it was four years ago," Duffield said. back
