January 30, 2006--Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN) spoke at a "Support Our Troops" rally organized by College Republicans on Capitol Hill. Frist opened his remarks with the number "72." Earlier in the day 72 Senators had voted to end debate on the nomination of Judge Samuel A. Alito Jr. clearing the way for his confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court.

(Above: Unidentified College Republicans) College Republicans National Chair Paul Gourley said the event drew "a fantastic turnout." "We wanted to support the President and our troops by sending a message that we need to finish the job in Iraq," Gourley said.
