Beltway Happenings
July 9, 2006--Sen. Dick Lugar (R-IN), who is chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, spoke with a CODEPINK activist after appearing on ABC News' "This Week."  Activists from CODEPINK started a "Troops Home Fast" hunger strike on July 3.  They later appeared outside CBS.  (Of note, Democrats did not come up with a challenger to Lugar, who is up for re-election this year).
The group included retired colonel and former diplomat Ann Wright (at far left) and Karen Bradley (with the crown).
