| July 14, 2006--A day after filing suit in U.S. District Court charging that Vice President Cheney, Karl Rove and I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby illegally leaked CIA officer Valerie Plame's classified status to punish her husband former Ambassador Joseph Wilson and intimidate others who might criticize the administration, former CIA operative Valerie Plame and her husband, former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, held a press conference to outline their case. Columnist Robert Novak revealed Plame's identity in a July 14, 2003 column. A grand jury indicted Libby in October. |
