Beltway Happenings
July 27, 2006--Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) spoke to reporters after partipating in Democrats' "New Direction" rally on Capitol Hill.  

Dodd is facing questions about what he will do if his colleague Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-CT) loses the August 8 Democratic primary to Ned Lamont.

Asked about his exploration of a possible presidential run Dodd said, "I've been at it about six or eight weeks and getting organized...asking people to help you and unfortunately trying to raise some money because you can't do this on fumes...  Things are going pretty well so far.  It's early obviously..."
