August 1, 2006-- Bill Miller, U.S. Chamber of Commerce vice president
and national political director, announced the "Vote for Business Bandwagon"
bus tour which will visit 12 states during the August recess as part of
the Chamber's efforts to "educate, motivate, and turnout our members this
fall." According to the press release, "The bus will be the centerpiece
of voter registration events, grassroots activist training and press conferences
announcing Chamber endorsements for critical House and Senate races."
The Chamber is one of many interest groups that are mobilizing to ensure
that their voices are heard in the 2006 mid-term elections. |
