September 22, 2006--At the National Press Club Republican presidential
candidate John Cox, a businessman from Illinois, unveiled the first television
spots by a 2008 candidate. In addition to starting to run ads, Cox
reported that he has now visited all 155 counties in Iowa, New Hampshire
and South Carolina. He is working to recruit county coordinators
in these three states and to establish state committees. Steven Kush
is now managing the campaign, Nathan Martin is the national coordinator
and there are paid staff in Iowa (Patrick Anderson, Steve Huff, and Keith
Hunter), New Hampshire (Stephen Abbott) and South Carolina (Travis Mobley
