Ten and a half years ago Janet and I moved into the Governor's Mansion, along with our family, to begin the most wonderful decade we could have imagined.
God and the good people of our beloved state have given us the privilege of serving them, and now we leave with grateful hearts.
Please accept our deepest thanks for the trust you bestowed upon us.
As we celebrate our final Christmas in this special home, we express our thanks to God for His allowing two kids from Hope, Arkansas, who started our marriage almost 33 years ago in a forty-dollar-a-month duplex apartment, to live and work in this special place.
We face new chapters and new challenges, but as one of our favorite songs reminds us, "Arkansas, You Run Deep in Me!"
