January 24, 2007--Speaking at The United States Conference of Mayors' 75th Winter Meeting, Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE) briefed the mayors on congressional activity on the war in Iraq. On January 17 Hagel joined Sens. Joe Biden (D-DE) and Carl Levin (D-MI) in introducing a resolution expressing oppostion to an escalation in the Iraq war. Sens. Joe Biden (D-DE), Chris Dodd (D-CT) and Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) were among many other speakers who addressed the mayors. (main page)
