| February 25, 2007--Former Sen. John Edwards (D-NC) spoke to reporters
after appearing on CBS News' "Face the Nation." On the program he
addressed Iraq, stating, "I think the Congress should use its authority,
its funding authority to bring down the troop level an initial 40- to 50,000
out of Iraq..." Edwards also called for direct engagement with
Iran and Syria. Discussing his proposal for universal health care,
Edwards said it would be paid for by rolling back the Bush tax cuts for
people earning over $200,000. |
